Hello fellow fly fisherman. I had been fly fishing in the Smoky Mtns for a few years until I got lung cancer which is in remission then had a heart attack and had to have 5 bypasses which now by the Grace of God is well and good . It is time for

Have you ever been fly fishing?

Yes, but it has been a few years ago. I love to fly fish for native trout. I always fished small streams. Hiking miles to fish until I got sick. Now is the time for Ga. streams.

  •  Jerry.. plan on bringing what you want to eat and drink. Tent, sleeping bag, flashlight, layered clothes and fishing stuff.... If you don't have a tent or sleeping bag, we may have extras available.. just let me know.. Hope you can make it!

  •  Hey Jerry! I'm really glad that you were able to make it Saturday! We all had a great time! Make sure you check out the pictures from the event. We will be at Paces tomorrow.. UNLESS it rains a lot tonight or tomorrow... I hear that the weather may not be all that nice :( Check the website to make sure that we are still going.. I will make the call by 2 pm. The rod is a TFO (Temple Fork Outfitters) Professional Series Lefty Krehe (5 weight 8'6" with a 6 WEIGHT LINE!)

  •  Have you narrowed down the quary down? I got to thinking about The rod question and Guessing that the hooch and maybe some lake fishing for bass, a 9' 6wt (4pc easy to pack)will cast poppers, wooly buggers... and fight the wind well. Do you prefer mid flex or fast rods?
