Welcome, Saint Petersburg Fishing Enthusiasts!

The purpose of the group is to get together people who like to fish and explore the waterways via boat motor, kayak, canoe or even sail boat. Teach them about boating/fishing but mostly have fun!! I have been boating/fishing for years, I was on a ladies kingfishing team. However I am still a novice with much to learn. I want novices (like myself) and experienced boating/fishing people to join. My vision is to have monthly meetings,with speakers who teach us about different aspects of boating/fishing, best places to fish/time of day/best lures/live bait/how to catch reds/trout/sheephead/grouper. I know Captains fishermen and fisherwomen who could speak at our meetings. I think it would be fun to have fishing tournaments with $$ prizes for largest fish caught. I have alot of fun ideas, however, I want and need your input?this is a joint effort to make this one of the best meetups in Pinellas.
I cannot tell you what kind of cost there will be, boating/fishing is expensive. Anyone who boats/fishesfished, knows the FUN out weighs the cost any day! I will need your input so this will be fun for everyone. Anyone looking for a boating/fishing meetup, at least give this one a try.
